Paso Robles to Hobson Park Beach, Ventura - 151 Miles - 2 night stay
We couldn't find a spot directly on the beach, so we stayed at Hobson's sweet spot with a great Surfers Foodie Shack with great breakfast and lunch options.
Lots of ocean watching, surfers finding their feet. First night here opened all the windows to hear the surf as we nodded off....BLISS!
Woke up early and we started crossing off more fixes and to do's on our list. We realized we were close to where Julianna, Chris and their gorgeous/handsome 18 month old, Lukas (Julianna and Chris lived in the middle unit below us for 8 years, then as with many during Covid made some life decisions and moved to Santa Barbara) fabulous house and huge garden, and amazing chicken coup that looked like a mansion with multiple levels. Great to see Lukas who is fearless and keeping Julianna and Chris on their toes.
We hope they pop in to see us when we get back to the UK.
A lovely evening watching the surf and chatting with Harvey, from Honduras, Spain, Mayan and the Vikings. Great guy who had lots of stories.
