SF to Half Moon Bay - 30 Miles
8th May - Saturday am we loaded up the Ford F150, groceries, water, etc we arrived at Half Moon Bay to load up the airstream and get on the road, we were already behind schedule, it always takes longer ;).
Half Moon Bay to Corbin James Cellars, Paso Robles - 192 Miles - 1 night stay
We left HMB at 12:45 pm, our weekly UK Baldwin/Chistoffersen family chat usually starts at noon and we asked for a delay. We hooked up the airstream quickly and got on the road, Route 1 and 101. As Peter drove, I started the zoom call and showed lots of video of the Pacific coastline. We stopped after 30 minutes just to check all OK with the bikes and tow bits and bobs.
We arrived at Corbin James Cellars with 20 mins to spare to quickly set up the trailer and join our 5pm tasting (via Harvest Hosts). Our tasting was led by a CalPoly Senior in Wine and viticulture. Tasted some great wines and bought four bottles, Chardonnay - Brilliance, yummiest ever, not Oakey, two zinfandels called Ballistic, and a delicious Ruby Port.
Yes the wine with Jo IS called Fat Boys and it was delicious
A quick supper followed by an early night and a brilliant first night sleep on our Cal King Foam mattress, 18" thick - so comfy.
